Can't get your printer connected to your desktop computer? There are numerous ways in which your printer can be connected to a computer or laptop. Whilst some printers are connected through a network via a network cable or connected wirelessly ie: WiFi and Bluetooth Printers can however be connected through USB or older methods using Parallel cable.Troubleshooting these connection problems vary, dependant on the form of connection you are using. Networked printers are one of the most difficult to resolve. Verify whether it be more than one computer which is having the same issue. usually if this is the case the issue is with the printer and not the network.USB printers should be checked that they have been correctly inserted. Try an alternative USB port on the computer. If the connection still fails this could be down to the USB port as they are known to fail. If you have a secondary cable try swopping this over. Connection still lost. It could be possible that the USB or the printer drivers are either missing or corrupted.Parallel connections should be checked that they are both firmly attached to both the printer and the computer. There is only one port for this to be installed in therefore once these have been checked we advise Re-starting the computer. If connection is still lost it could be possible that the printer drives are corrupted or missing.
